Standing together, we’ll make this world better

December 10th, 2025

Dear JYC Global Family,

We are so proud to release a powerful new music video, an original protest anthem that embodies the core beliefs we share in JYC: the power of young voices to transcend division and illuminate a better way forward.

During a recent visit to Chicago, JYC had the extraordinary opportunity to collaborate with the groundbreaking Uniting Voices Chicago on an original song titled “Standing Together.” In the studio, teenagers from Jerusalem and Chicago—representing different races, languages, faiths, and lived experiences—stood shoulder to shoulder as they shaped a shared musical vision. Notes blended, barriers softened, and the room shifted into something larger than all of us. What emerged is an anthem of resilience, hope, and unity that captures the common spirit driving both of our organizations: a belief that empowering young people to raise their voices can change the world.

Music has been at the core of social movements throughout history – so we reached out to Standing Together, the largest Jewish-Palestinian grassroots movement in Israel fighting for an end to the Occupation, peace, equality, and social and climate justice, to offer this song as a soundtrack for their work building real power. They absolutely loved it, and have enthusiastically joined in as partners in the creation of this new video.

Standing Together inspires us, challenges us, and reminds us daily that the struggle for dignity and peace must be a collective one. We are grateful for their leadership and for the ways our visions – and voices – continue to intertwine.

Join us by sharing this musical call to action – and add your voice to the chorus of people all over the world fighting for freedom, equality, justice, and peace.

JYC and Unitng Voices Chicago Record “Standing Together”

In a year defined by profound pain and division, this project reminds us that unity is not naïve—it is necessary. Hope is not the absence of struggle—it is the refusal to let struggle define us. And when youth lift their voices together, they remind all of us that a new reality is possible.

Thank you for being part of that future. Thank you for standing together with us. And thank you for believing, year after year, that music can move hearts, communities, and histories toward justice and peace.

With gratitude and hope,
Micah, Amer, Jackie, and the Jerusalem Youth Chorus
